Miami is the Dolphins because they are located on the coastline and have lots of dolphins in their waters
New England is the Patriots because our country started in that part of the States.
Indianapolis is the Colts because this team used to be in Baltimore and they race horses in Pemlico, Maryland (used to be the Baltimore Colts)
New York is the Jets because there is so much air traffic there.
Buffalo is the Bills (I think there was a mythical character named BuffaloBill)Cleveland is the Browns because it was named after their founder whose last name was Brown.
Pittsburgh is the Steelers because their part of the country is known for the steel works.
Tennessee just picked the nickname Titans because it had flow.(this team was the old Houston Oilers - Houston's economy was based primarily based on Oil Refining)
Baltimore Ravens (I am unsure).
Cincinnati Bengals (I guess Tigers were too common)
Jacksonville is the Jaguars (I guess because it has flow and they are fast and can run away from their oppononents)Washington Redskins (There were Indian Tribes there a long time ago) Also, it could be that this was the natives land before we got here too.
Dallas Cowboys (It represents the Wild Wild West) Cowboys are symbolic to the Southwest and WEST U.S.
Philadelphia Eagles (Eagles represent freedom of the U.S.)
New York Giants (I don't have a clue unless they are talking about their skyscrapers)
Arizona is the Cardinals because their team was once located in St.Louis and the Missouri state bird is the Cardinal.Tampa Bay is the Bucaneers because they are a port city and Pirates and Ports go hand in hand.
Chicago is the Bears (Don't really know why)
Green Bay is the Packers (Big Meat Packing Plant in town) Green Bay is the only NFL team to be community owned.
Detroit just picked the Lions
Minnesota is the Vikings because it is cold up there and there is a big population of Scandanavian people who live up there.Denver is the Broncos because Denver was once on the Wild Frontier.
Oakland is the Raiders because I guess because it is on the Bay,
Seattle is the Seahawks because they are near the ocean.
San Diego is the Chargers (I guess it just sounded good to them)
Kansas City is the Chiefs (I guess it symbolizes the Western U.S.)Carolina is just the Panthers (no reason) just sounds ferocious.
New Orleans is the Saints (I think this was a joke) There is almost nothing saintly about this town.
Atlanta is the Falcons (Don't know why)
San Francisco is the 49ers because the great gold rush occurred here in1849.
St. Louis is the Rams (I don't know why unless there were Rams in the Hollywood Hills because this team used to be out of Los Angeles)
