Peace for the Troubled Soul
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is
light."
Psa 94:12-14 (KJV)
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest,
O LORD,
and teachest him out of thy law;
{13} That thou mayest give him rest from
the days of adversity,
until the pit be digged for the wicked.
{14} For the LORD will not cast
off his people,
neither will he forsake his inheritance.
Psa 116:5-9 (KJV)
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea,
our God is merciful.
{6} The LORD preserveth the simple:
I was brought low, and he helped me.
{7} Return unto thy rest, O my soul;
for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with
thee.
{8} For thou hast delivered my soul from
death,
mine eyes from tears, and my feet from
falling.
{9} I will walk before the LORD in the
land of the living.
Isa 48:17-18 (KJV)
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the
Holy One of Israel;
I am the LORD thy God which teacheth
thee to profit,
which leadeth thee by the way that thou
shouldest go.
{18} O that thou hadst hearkened to my
commandments!
then had thy peace been as a river,
and thy righteousness as the waves of
the sea:
Isa 45:22-23 (KJV)
Look unto me, and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth:
for I am God, and there is none else.
{23} I have sworn by myself,
the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness,
and shall not return,
That unto me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear.
Phil 2:5-11 (KJV)
Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus:
{6} Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with
God:
{7} But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:
{8} And being found in fashion as
a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death,
even the death of the cross.
{9} Wherefore God also hath highly exalted
him,
and given him a name which is above every
name:
{10} That at the name of Jesus every knee
should bow,
of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth;
{11} And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
