The Omni-Presence of God

The Omni-Presence of God
based on
A Bible Study from the Holmann Bible Dictionary
by John W. Eddins, Jr. and J. Terry Young

Atheists try to make themselves believe that God does not exist, but most human experience affirms a sense that God somehow does exist.

Rom 1:17-23 (TLB)
This Good News tells us that God makes us ready for heaven--
makes us right in God's sight--
when we put our faith and trust in Christ to save us.
This is accomplished from start to finish by faith.
As the Scripture says it,
"The man who finds life will find it through trusting God."
{18} But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, evil men
who push away the truth from themselves.
{19} For the truth about God is known to them instinctively;
God has put this knowledge in their hearts.

 {20} Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have known of his existence and great eternal power.
So they will have no excuse (when they stand before God at Judgment Day).
{21} Yes, they knew about him all right,
but they wouldn't admit it or worship him or even thank him for all his daily care. And after awhile they began to think up silly ideas of what God was like
and what he wanted them to do.
The result was that their foolish minds became dark and confused
. {22} Claiming themselves to be wise without God,
they became utter fools instead.
{23} And then, instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God,
they took wood and stone and made idols for themselves,
carving them to look like mere birds and animals and snakes and puny men.

In some mysterious way God is immanent, that is, He is present in the day-to-day human existence, and He desires to enter into a personal relationship with each person whom He has created.

Acts 17:24-28 (KJV)
God that made the world and all things therein,
seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,
dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
{25} Neither is worshipped with men's hands,
as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
{26} And hath made of one blood all nations of men
for to dwell on all the face of the earth,
and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
{27} That they should seek the Lord,
if haply they might feel after him, and find him,
though he be not far from every one of us:
{28} For in him we live, and move, and have our being;
as certain also of your own poets have said,
For we are also his offspring.

Isa 41:9-10 (KJV)
 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth,
 and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee,
Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
 {10} Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea,
I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Mat 28:18-20 (KJV)
 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
 All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
 {19} Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: {20} Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
